Switch accounting software
Bring your accounts with you to Easypeasy.
Easypeasy supports importing accounting data in SAF-T format. See what to keep, what to check and how to get help switching accounting software.
How do I switch accounting software?
Start by exporting accounting data, reports and documents from your current software. Easypeasy supports importing accounting data in SAF-T format. After importing, check balances and outstanding items before continuing your bookkeeping.
What you can transfer depends on the export from your old software. Contact us if you are unsure about the files or where to start.
What to do when switching
- Choose a clear cut-off date. Decide when to start recording new documents in Easypeasy so that the same transaction is not recorded twice.
- Export data from your old software. Get the SAF-T file and reports you need to check your accounts. Also keep original documents, invoices and attachments.
- Import and check. Compare balances with the old software and check unpaid customer and supplier invoices.
- Check the setup before continuing. Check your bank account, invoice numbering and VAT settings, among other things. Keep access to your old software until you have secured the documentation you need.
A SAF-T file is not the entire archive
SAF-T is a standardised format for accounting data. Keep original documents and attachments separately. Also check which registers and information are actually included in the export from your software.
Read more about the format in the Norwegian Tax Administration's SAF-T questions and answers.
